We are excited to let you know the Butter-Fy Yourself Facebook application, designed to bring a popular state fair tradition – butter sculpting – to life, is now live. More than 70 people attended the annual meeting for the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Center on July 27. The Jackrabbit Dairy Council, a University/Industry partnership, will create qualified Dairy Science graduates at South Dakota State University through a state-of-the-art educational dairy plant. As students looked forward to summer vacation, First Lady Michelle Obama -introduced “Let?s Read. Let?s Move.”, another part of her anti-obesity campaign. According to the Let's Move campaign and several other health authorities, children and adolescents should consume 2 to 3 cups of low-fat or fat-free milk each day to support critical bone growth and development.
