Lisa McCann, RD

Lisa McCann is a Health and Wellness program manager for Midwest Dairy Association and  is responsible for promoting  dairy in half of the school districts in Minnesota. Lisa enjoys sharing the nutritional benefits of dairy to growing kids & parents, working to improve school wellness through our programs, and sharing relevant research and insights on the nutrition environment and how dairy fits into that picture. Lisa is also the school liaison for Minnesota-based dairy processors, communicating timely industry information and school district needs.  As a Registered Dietitian and a mother of two teen boys, Lisa believes strongly in promoting good health through nutrition and staying active.

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and Dietetics with a Business concentration from the University of Minnesota. She completed her Dietetics Internship at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association and the Minnesota Dietetic Association and is on various committees within the Minnesota School Nutrition Association.

Lisa has more than 25 years of experience in the foodservice industry, including extensive experience as a Corporate Dietitian in business and industry, healthcare, long-term care, and education settings.
