From the first blade of grass the cow consumes until the time you eat it, I have studied it. I grew up on a farm in southern Illinois and have spent my 17-year career in the agricultural, dairy and food industries. During this time, I created new products which use dairy as an ingredient. I began my career developing feed and milk products for animals before transitioning into the food industry. I will be drawing upon my experiences in research and production to help educate you about the benefits and functionality of dairy. My favorite dairy ingredient is whey protein. By reading my blog posts you’ll learn more about why Little Miss Muffet and I both need to eat our curds and whey each day.
I am the vice president of ingredient marketing at Midwest Dairy Association and live in Minnesota. I have a B.S. in biological sciences, M.S. in animal nutrition and M.B.A. in business. In my free time, I serve on the board of directors for Mom’s Haven Hope, a newly formed nonprofit focused on providing affordable housing and ministry for single mothers and their children.
