Sandra J Brown, CFCS

Sandra J. Brown, a Certified Family and Consumer Scientist, is Health and Wellness program manager, with the Midwest Dairy Association, responsible for promoting a positive school milk experience for kids in the Chicago land area. She serves as the liaison and secretary to the Action for Healthy Kids-Illinois State Team and is a member of the School Work Group Subcommittee of the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children (CLOCC). She previously served on the Illinois School Wellness Policy Task Force and the Chicago Public Schools Taskforce to Promote Healthy Eating and Smart Choices. Sandra is a member of both the American and Illinois Associations of Family and Consumer Sciences, and the Association for Consumer Trends.

Sandra’s professional career includes radio, cable and major network television presenting programs featuring nutrition, recipe and consumer information topics, and area Home Economist with a major food chain retailer where she developed and coordinated recipes, brochures, cooking schools, educational materials, seminars and special events. Also, she is an adjunct faculty with Trinity International University-REACH Program, teaching the Wellness Lifestyle class.
