James Simon

Chicago, Illinois freshman James Simon loves being a Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador and says that this role gives him a voice for himself, as well as other kids. Since Fuel Up to Play 60 is new in his school, Urban Prep Academy – Bronzeville, he plans to make sure Fuel Up to Play 60 is present in his school and that it is accepted by all students and teachers. 

He strongly believes in being a good role model and believes that in order to encourage Fuel Up to Play 60 to his peers; he must eat healthy and be active. “I want the other students to see that I am committed,” says James.
James plays in a basketball league and plans to try out for both the basketball and cross country track teams at Urban Prep. When asked what his favorite dairy food is, he replied with, “Milk, of course!” He stays active with swimming and playing basketball.

He absolutely enjoyed going to the Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., where he and others alike learned leadership skills and coordinated ways to help improve the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.

“Fuel Up to Play 60 is a great way to spread the word about how eating the right kinds of food, including dairy, and staying active will keep you healthy, not only now, but later in life.”
