Logan Ahern
Download V-CardLogan Ahern holds the title of North Dakota State Ambassador for the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, a title he couldn’t feel more honored and blessed to carry. “It means so much to me to have the honor of representing North Dakota,” says Logan. “It means I have a lot of hard work ahead of me, and it inspires me to be a good leader by setting good examples for my peers.”
Logan has set forth establishing goals as a Fuel Up to Play 60 Student Ambassador; hoping to inform as many people as he can about healthy eating that is easy, delicious and nutritious. He also strives to make sure that North Dakota has a Fuel Up to Play 60 committee for every one of its schools.
Part of Logan’s ambassadorship includes encouraging Fuel Up to Play 60 to his peers—something he has no problem in doing. He states, “I educate my peers about Fuel Up to Play 60, encourage them to get a Fuel Up to Play 60 account, and I share with them all the fun I have had participating in the Fuel Up to Play 60 activities.” He is a lead-by-example ambassador, striving to make healthy choices with his diet, and is often found doing physical activity with his peers.
Fourteen-year-old Logan, who is a freshman at the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Academy in West Fargo, stays active by playing soccer all year round and lifting weights, as well as staying busy with his participation in student council and his role with Fuel Up to Play 60. His parents are Craig and Binga, and he has an older brother, Bryce, who attends college and plays football at Minot State University.
Logan’s favorite way to stay active is going outside with his friends to play soccer, long bike rides and lifting weights. He says hands down his favorite dairy food, which is also his favorite drink, is milk. “I drink a lot of milk,” he adds.
Logan states that the most rewarding part of his Fuel Up to Play 60 experience is, “the impact I have on the lives of fellow students and seeing how much they have achieved in a year.”
