Working together in the kitchen is a fun way to spend family time. Nicole Stahr, dietitian with Midwest Dairy, prepares a pizza dish with her children.
As Emeril Lagasse says, “Kick it up a notch!” Students can kick it up with Fuel Up to Play 60’s second challenge! This is a chance to get Fuel Up to Play 60 students involved in using their imaginations to create a healthy new recipe that includes low-fat or fat-free dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
Using what they’ve learned about nutritious foods through Fuel Up to Play 60, students create a healthy recipe – just like their favorite NFL players eat to stay on top of their game – and upload their recipe, a video of them and classmates making the dish or a picture of the new creation.
Students are encouraged to use their imaginations. Upload the challenge submission here by November 24. Adults and parents can also join the Fuel Up to Play 60 movement and learn more about the student challenges by enrolling as a supporter at www.fueluptoplay60.com.
Is your junior chef MVP? Check out Midwest Dairy’s Kids Are Cookin’ Recipe Challenge. We want to honor your junior chef by featuring the best, kid-created holiday dairy recipes on our website. Submissions are accepted until December 31.
Good luck kicking it up a notch!
