Nebraska Dairy Princess

The Nebraska Dairy Princess represents both the dairy producers and the dairy industry through meetings, demonstrations, promotions, talks, radio and television interviews, passing out trophies and ribbons, school presentations and parades.

2012 Nebraska Dairy Princess Application

Chandra Mosel is the 19 year old daughter of Randy and Jolene Mosel of Mo-Day Farms, Inc. near Neligh, NE.  Chandra is a sophomore at the University of NE, Lincoln.  She is working on her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management.  She has been a Senator and President for her College dorm in Lincoln.  She is on the William H. Thompson Scholars Dean’s List.  The Nebraska Dairy Princess is an ambassador for dairy producers and promotes the industry.  Chandra will be busy making appearances:  public speaking, giving school presentations, demonstrations, talks, radio and television interviews, passing out awards to the industry shows, parades and other personal appearances to promote healthy eating and the production of dairy products.  During her 11 years in 4-H she showed at the county, district and state levels.  Chandra says:  “The dairy industry is a vital part of our world today.  Economically, we have just come through one of the toughest times in history.  However, we are resilient and need to be looking for solutions that will keep this from happening again. I think that we need to continue to promote the health benefits of dairy products and we need to stress the importance of how these products are produced naturally and responsibly.”

Melisa Konecky, daughter of Tom and Sharon Konecky Jr. from Beauty View Farms, near Wahoo, NE was named Runner up, during the convention events.
