Cedar Creek Elementary – Lee’s Summit, MO

Apples, cheese sticks and broccoli – oh, my! In their first year of participating in Fuel Up to Play 60, students at Cedar Creek Elementary School are enjoying an increased variety of fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy options that are all available for both breakfast and lunch, thanks to the new grab-n-go options now available in their school’s cafeteria.

2012 Kansas City Youth Rewards Summit


The Kansas City Fuel Up To Play 60 Youth Rewards Summit video features KC Wolf, NFL players, KC Chiefs cheerleaders, school staff, students, health professionals, dairy farmers and others talking about the importance of nutrient-rich foods and physical activity. Almost 200 students from Missouri and Kansas celebrated their accomplishments at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs on May 5, 2012.



Missouri Governor Pledges Support

Governor Nixon pledged his support of Fuel Up to Play 60 with a proclamation ceremony at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City on January 23rd. Here he is surrounded by Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Advisor Kathy Beezley and Missouri dairy farmers Bill Siebenborn, Tom Oelrichs and Donna Telle.
