Students at Norris Middle School now have the opportunity to eat a well-balanced breakfast later in the day, thanks to a new healthy Grab-n-Go breakfast station.
At Ezra Millard Elementary School, you might find anyone from artists to dietitians to grocery store employees stopping by, all to help students learn about the benefits of healthy foods and physical activity.
Elementary students in Elkhorn Public Schools, including West Dodge Station Elementary, will have the option to buy breakfast at school for another year, thanks to a unanimous vote by the Elkhorn school board. In a 6-0 vote, board members voted to keep the program – which was implemented with the help of Fuel Up to Play 60 funding – in all nine of its elementary schools for the 2012-2013 school year.
