If you love milk, cheese, yogurt and cows — you are about to be in dairy heaven! What started out as National Milk Month in 1937, has now been celebrated as June Dairy Month for more than 75 years. From having breakfast on the farm to seeing six breeds of dairy cows at the famous Henry Doorly Zoo, these events are too fun to miss! June 2 – Dairy and Ag Days in Linton, North Dakota

Who wouldn’t want to celebrate June Dairy Month with a huge parade and street fair?! Come enjoy food, family and festivities all day long. Wanting to cross “meet a dairy princess” off your bucket list? You will be able to do that, too! In fact, the Royalty will serve free ice cream immediately after the coronation. Get more info here.

June 3 – Kuechle Dairy Breakfast on the Farm in Eden Valley, Minnesota

Dairy farmers across the Midwest love welcoming the community onto their farm to enjoy a fresh wholesome breakfast. From 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. try out their unforgettable French toast, eggs, juice and of course- milk. The kids will love the obstacle course, petting zoo and baby farm animals. Get more info here.

June 3 – Dairy Fest in Elkton, South Dakota

Do you ever wonder how your favorite dairy products are made? From 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. come experience dairy in the most fun and interactive way possible. Take a tour of the South Dakota State University Davis Dairy Plant to see where the famous SDSU ice cream and cheese are made, then take a dairy farm tour to see first hand the day-to-day activities of a modern farm. June 3 & 4 – Moo at the Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska

Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for a fun-filled country and agriculture themed event Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come see six breeds of dairy cows at once. This is a rare sight to see! And of course you can’t properly moo at the zoo without the right swag. There will be airbrush tattoos, t-shirts, giveaways and more. Get the info here.

June 8 – The 27th Annual Cheeseburger Day in Milbank, South Dakota

Yes, this is real – a day dedicated to the cheesy goodness that melts to perfection at every summer cookout. Valley Queen Cheese Factory hosts an Annual Cheeseburger Day every year to recognize the positive impact that the dairy community has in the Midwest. Come enjoy a cheeseburger, chips and milk from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Lake Farley Park. Get more info here.

June 17- Poses in the Pasture in Rushford, Minnesota

It all begins at 9:30 a.m. with coffee samplings, followed by yoga in the pasture at 10:00 a.m. After having a morning of zen and relaxation, you will get to enjoy wine, cheese and other local food samplings. The cost is $25 at the door and all proceeds will benefit Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and Heifer International. Eat dairy, live dairy-zen and donate to dairy? Sounds like a win, win, win. June 17 – 20th Annual June Dairy Breakfast in Caledonia, Illinois

This is not their first rodeo. The Af-Ayr Farm family knows how to host an unforgettable breakfast on the farm experience! From 6:30 – 11:00 a.m. you can enjoy delicious food, see how butter and ice cream are made, see a 4-H Livestock show and go for a relaxing wagon ride to soak in some of the best views on the farm. June 17 – Breakfast on the Farm in Calmar, Iowa

In the heart of northeast Iowa you will find the Dairy Center operated by Northwest Iowa Dairy Foundation. Their partnership with Northeast Iowa Community College allows students enrolled in Ag programs to experience hands-on curriculum. From 8:30 a.m. – noon, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and then hop on a guided tram tour for some fun on the farm! Get more info here.

June 17 – Towerview Farms Breakfast on the Farm in Eyota, Minnesota

Enjoy delicious pancakes, sausage, cheese, milk, juice and coffee watching the the sunrise on the farm. This event is in conjunction with Rochester Fest, so you will feel the excitement across all of Olmsted County. Come embrace this one-of-a-kind celebration from 6:30 – 11:30 a.m. Your tractor drawn wagon is awaiting!

June 22 – Moo-vie at the Farmstead in Overland Park, Kansas

Free ice cream, cookies AND free admission to a children’s movie?! Which, is a classic by the way. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead and enjoy a relaxing night with your family watching Charlotte’s Web on the big screen. Moo-vie begins at dusk. Get more info here.
