The Midwest Dairy - Nebraska Division is seeking candidates to participate in the State Dairy Princess contest scheduled Feb. 26, 2019, at the Ramada Inn in Columbus, NE. The event is held in conjunction with the Nebraska State Dairy Convention.
The Midwest Dairy Association South Dakota Division is seeking candidates to participate in the State Dairy Princess contest scheduled Mar. 26, 2019, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls. The event is held in conjunction with the Central Plains Dairy Expo and Convention.
College students with an interest in dairy can now apply to be a dairy ambassador in one of eight states across the Midwest. The Dairy Ambassador program provides students with leadership opportunities to connect with consumers and share their dairy story while networking with their peers and industry professionals.
The national dairy checkoff has awarded 13 academic scholarships to college students enrolled in programs that emphasize dairy and who have shown potential to become future dairy leaders. Eight of the winners come from farms located within Midwest Dairy’s 10-state region.

Rebekka Paskewitz (PAS-SKI-WITZ), a 20-year-old college student from Browerville, Minnesota, representing Todd County, was crowned the 65th Princess Kay of the Milky Way in an evening ceremony at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Aug. 22.
