Emily Annexstad, a 19-year-old college student from St. Peter, Minnesota, representing Nicollet County, was crowned the 64th Princess Kay of the Milky Way in an evening ceremony at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Aug. 23.

Pie ‘n the Sky malts and sundaes – made with Minnesota dairy farmers’ secret, State Fair-recipe vanilla ice cream or malt, topped with crunchy spiced cookies, lemon curd and dark chocolate syrup – will join the traditional ice cream flavors at Midwest Dairy Association’s Dairy Goodness Bar at the Minnesota State Fair this year.

The butter sculpting booth (in the Dairy Building, corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood Street) is a Minnesota State Fair exhibit sponsored by Midwest Dairy Association’s 3,000-plus dairy farmers. It’s one of the most popular attractions at the fair.
