The butter sculpting booth (in the Dairy Building, corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood Street) is a Minnesota State Fair exhibit sponsored by Midwest Dairy Association’s 3,000-plus dairy farmers. It’s one of the most popular attractions at the fair.
The Dairy Goodness Bar, located at the corner of Judson and Underwood, regularly ranks among the fair’s top food attractions. The All-You-Can-Drink Milk Stand at the corner of Judson and Clough (kitty-corner from the Coliseum) is owned by Minnesota’s 3,000-plus dairy farmers, and operated by Midwest Dairy Association.
Rachel Grober, a 17-year-old from Ionia, was crowned the 64th Iowa Dairy Princess during an evening ceremony at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines tonight.
Thirteen young women involved with the Iowa dairy community will compete to win the title of 64th Iowa State Dairy Princess Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. at the Multi-Media Center of the Cattle Barn at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines.
Pie ‘n the Sky malts and sundaes – made with Minnesota dairy farmers’ secret, State Fair-recipe vanilla ice cream or malt, topped with crunchy spiced cookies, lemon curd and dark chocolate syrup – will join the traditional ice cream flavors at Midwest Dairy Association’s Dairy Goodness Bar at the Minnesota State Fair this year.
Heidi Jacob, 18, daughter of Gerard and Lori Jacob of Linton, was crowned North Dakota’s 70th State Dairy Princess in Bismarck at the Midwest Dairy North Dakota Division board meeting June 19.

Dairy Iowa, a partnership between individuals and organizations invested in Iowa’s dairy industry, will hold its annual June Dairy Month event June 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Heartland Agribition Center in Independence.
Midwest Dairy Association’s Iowa Division is seeking candidates for Iowa’s 64th Dairy Princess. The entry deadline is Saturday, July 1.
