2027 Midwest Dairy Calendar Photo Contest

Share Your Best Dairy Photos for a Chance to Be Featured in the 2027 Midwest Dairy Calendar

Midwest Dairy is looking for your best calendar-worthy dairy photos! One winning photo will be selected and featured in Midwest Dairy’s 2027 Calendar, which will be distributed with the Winter Dairy Promotion Update magazine.

From the farm to the table, we want to see the photos that showcase what makes dairy special across the Midwest. Grab your camera and submit your favorite dairy moments for a chance to be part of the 2027 calendar!

What to focus on:

Photos must capture dairy at any stage of production, from beautiful cows and barns, to milking, all the way through to consumption. People must not be included in photos.

What the winner receives:

The winning photo, along with photo credit, will be featured in the 2027 Midwest Dairy Calendar. The winner will also receive a dairy prize pack, including 25 copies of the poster-sized calendar to share with friends and family.

Ready to enter? Here is what you need to know:

  • Contestants may submit up to three photos.
  • Photos must be taken in horizontal orientation and be at least 300 DPI.
  • Photos should feature dairy as the focus, and people should not be included.
  • Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Central on Friday, October 9, 2026.
  • Midwest Dairy staff will vote to select the winning photo.
  • The winner will be announced Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

    Photo Requirements: Photos must be the original, unaltered work of the entrant. Entries should not contain recognizable images of people’s faces. Photos should be taken in a horizontal orientation and be at least 300 dpi.

    Rules & Conditions

    1. Photos must be taken in the Midwest Dairy 10-state region.
    2. The contest is open to all. Entrants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian. By entering the contest, entrants under 18 years of age indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.
    3. Photos must be the original, unaltered work of the entrant.
    4. Entries should not contain recognizable images of people’s faces.
    5. Photos should be taken in a horizontal orientation and be at least 300 dpi.
    6. By submitting, the entrant agrees that they are the sole copyright owner of the image. By submitting an entry the entrant (in case of minors, the minor’s parent/legal guardians) grants Midwest Dairy, or its authorized representatives and contractors, the right to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, distribute or display and use these materials in whole or in part, in any manner or media (whether now existing or created in the future), in perpetuity, and in all languages throughout the world. Use of this material shall include, but not be limited to, audiovisual programs; websites; publications; product artwork; and project publicity. Additionally, entrants waive the right to inspect or approve any use of the material and any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the material. The entrant holds harmless, releases, and forever discharges Midwest Dairy from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization. The entrant agrees to indemnify and hold Midwest Dairy harmless for any and all losses, claims, expenses, suits, costs, demands and damages or liabilities on account of personal injury, death, or property damages of any nature whatsoever and by whomsoever made, arising out of the activities associated with the project in which I am taking park.
    7. Up to three entries per contestant will be considered.
    8. By submitting, the entrant grants permission for Midwest Dairy to exhibit the winning photo in the Midwest Dairy 2027 Calendar. Entrants acknowledge that the calendar will be distributed in printed format and may also be used electronically in social media or other materials.
    9. If selected as a winning image, the entrant must be able to provide the highest resolution version of the image possible via email and fill out a photo release form.
    10. The contest winner will receive no financial payment for the use of their photo. Midwest Dairy will, however, provide photo credit in the calendar, copies of the calendar, and a prize pack.
