This Web site (the “Site”) is operated by the Midwest Dairy Association. The mailing address for the Midwest Dairy Association is 2015 Rice Street, St. Paul, Minnesota, 55113. We welcome teachers, school foodservice personnel, healthcare professionals, dairy farmers, dairy industry representatives, the media and the general public to the Midwest Dairy Association’s Site. Please take a few minutes to review this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, of which this Privacy Policy is a part. Your use of this Site constitutes your agreement to follow these rules and to be bound by them. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, then do not use this Site.

Midwest Dairy Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change this Privacy Policy at any time.  You will be notified of changes to the Privacy Policy via a notation next to the link to the Privacy Policy from the main page of the Site stating that the Privacy Policy is new/modified and the date on which it was updated. The last date on which this Privacy Policy was updated was February 11, 2010. By continuing to use the Site after such changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the changes.

Personal Information Collection and Use
Midwest Dairy Association is the sole owner of the personal information collected on this Site. The Midwest Dairy Association will not sell personal information to, share personal information with, or rent personal information to any third parties other than as disclosed below. You are not required to provide any personal information in order to explore the Midwest Dairy Association Site. However, there are several areas of the Site where your participation will be limited if you do not provide personal information: 1) Comments, 2) Recipes, 3) Expert Columns, 4) Contests 5) Signing up to receive materials for educational use from Midwest Dairy Association, 6) Newsletters, and 6) Contact Us. To participate in these areas, you will need to set up an account. When you set up your account, we require the following information: Name, User Type, Email, and Password. You may also provide the following information if you wish to do so: Physical Address, City, State/Province, ZIP Code, Country, Telephone Number, Sex, and Birth Date. Note that although the Site has a “Shopping Cart,” Midwest Dairy Association does not sell anything on the Site and does not collect any kind of payment information.

You may also volunteer information in Comments, Recipes, etc.; this voluntarily provided information is not governed by this Privacy Policy and is publicly available on the Internet. Please consider this in making such public postings.

In addition, we ask for different information for the following areas:

Midwest Dairy Association periodically conducts contests. Each contest has its own rules and will require different information to register. For further information, please refer to the posted rules for the contest you wish to enter.

Materials for Educational Use
There are three ways to receive free materials for educational use from Midwest Dairy Association. You will need to provide different personal information for each method, as follows:

1) If you wish to receive free PDFs from Midwest Dairy Association for educational use, you need not log in or create an account to do so; you may simply download them one at a time directly from links within the Site. Midwest Dairy Association will collect no personal information when you make such downloads, except as noted below under “Information We Gather Automatically.”

2) If you wish to download multiple PDFs at the same time for educational use, you may do so by adding the PDFs to your Shopping Cart, and downloading each item in turn. If you wish to Checkout, you may do so by creating an account or logging onto the Site and upon completing the Checkout process, you will receive an email with links to the PDFs for downloaded. To do this, you need provide only the information required for creating an account as listed above.

3) Midwest Dairy offers free, dairy farmer funded materials to nutrition educators in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and parts of Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma. If you wish to receive free physical materials from Midwest Dairy Association for educational use and are an approved user, you must create an account and add the items to your Shopping Cart. In addition to the information required for account creation, Midwest Dairy Association will require you to provide the following information: Physical Address, City, State/Province, and ZIP Code. If you provide us with this information, we will use it only for order fulfillment and will share it with our affiliates who will ship your free items directly to you.

The Midwest Dairy Association Site may provide periodic newsletters to some of its audiences outlining the most recent developments in the dairy industry and other related activities. The newsletter is emailed to those users who choose to subscribe to it. In order to subscribe to the newsletter, users must provide their first and last name, mailing address and email address.

Contact Us
Under the ‘Contact Us’ application, users may send us an email with questions or comments. In order to reply to the email, we ask that users provide their first and last name and email address. You need not create an account to contact Midwest Dairy Association.

Information We Gather Automatically
When you visit this site, certain non-personally identifiable information is automatically recorded by the standard operation of our Internet servers. Contests, Events, and Programs
Occasionally, Midwest Dairy Association sponsors contests, events, and programs for children. Some of these contests, events, or programs can be entered via online registration.
