Meet the 2018 Princess Kay of the Milky Way candidates.

Dairy princess candidate Amy Broll.

Amy Broll, 21, Chaska, Carver County

Daughter of Dan and Kathie Broll. Amy will start her junior year at Winona State University this fall where she is studying cell and molecular biology. She hopes to become a dentist after graduating from dental school. Her hobbies include being outdoors where she hikes, canoes, kayaks and spends time with friends.

Dairy princess candidate Blaize Dankers.

Blaize Dankers, 19, Plainview, Wabasha County

Daughter of Travis and Annette Reimers. She is an employee of Scotch Prairie Farms. Blaize will be a sophomore this fall at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she studies agriculture business and dairy science. She is active in her campus dairy club and enjoys coaching volleyball, fishing, kayaking, writing, showing and judging dairy cattle.

Dairy princess candidate Katherine Gathje.

Katherine Gathje, 19, Richmond, Meeker County

Daughter of Scott and Denise Gathje. Katherine will be a sophomore at the University of Minnesota this fall studying agricultural communication and marketing. Her hobbies include baking, showing dairy cattle, speaking Spanish and spending time with family.

Dairy princess candidate Laura Grimm.

Laura Grimm, 20, Waconia, Carver County

Daughter of Joel and Barb Grimm. Laura will be a senior this fall at Minnesota State University Moorhead with a major in English and Mass Communications. She loves to travel, read, write, work with animals and make new memories.

Dairy princess candidate Megan Hollermann.

Megan Hollermann, 20, Burtrum, Todd County

Daughter of Shawn and Debbie Hollermann. Megan recently graduated from Ridgewater College with a degree in dairy management and is employed on her family farm. She is a 4-H volunteer, a Ridgewater agriculture ambassador, serves on the Morrison County fair board and was involved with professional agriculture student (PAS) organization.

Dairy princess candidate Korissa Lindquist.

Korissa Lindquist, 20, Kerkhoven, Kandiyohi County

Daughter of Rod and Naomi Lindquist. She will be a junior this fall at the University of North Dakota where she studies airport management. She enjoys being active with mission trips through her church, flying planes, spending time outdoors, reading and playing piano.

Dairy princess candidate Calissa Lubben.

Calissa Lubben, 19, Edgerton, Rock County

Daughter of Cal and Char Lubben. She studies dairy production at South Dakota State University where she will be a sophomore this fall. She hopes to one day own a hobby farm and be a dairy consultant. Calissa enjoys being outdoors where she can bike, run and hike.

Dairy princess candidate Ashley Maus.

Ashley Maus, 19, Freeport, Stearns County

Daughter of Darrel and Lisa Maus. Ashley will be a sophomore this fall at South Dakota State University where she studies dairy production and dairy manufacturing. She enjoys volunteering, swing dancing, showing cattle and spending time with friends.

Dairy princess candidate Melendy Miller.

Melendy Miller, 20, Plainview, Wabasha County

Daughter of Stacy and Julie Miller. Melendy will be a junior this fall at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where she studies dairy science. After graduation, she plans to go back to the family farm. Melendy enjoys gardening, hiking, reading and raising bull calves with her sister during the summer.

Dairy princess candidate Julia Mullenbach.

Julia Mullenbach, 18, Rose Creek, Mower County

Daughter of Al and Lynette Mullenbach. Julia studies dairy science at Iowa State University where she will be a sophomore this fall. She has a passion for dancing and volunteers as a dance coach to youth and high school dance teams. She is active in her campus dairy science club as well as the Minnesota and National Brown Swiss Associations.

Dairy princess candidate Rebekka Paskewitz.

Rebekka Paskewitz, 20, Browerville, Todd County

Daughter of Alan and Vicki Paskewitz. She is an employee at Thunder Valley Farms. Rebekka will be a junior this fall at South Dakota State University where she studies agricultural education. After graduation, she plans to become an agricultural educator. Rebekka enjoys graphic design, public speaking, raising beef cattle and road trips.

Dairy princess candidate Catherine Thompson.

Catherine Thompson, 19, Plainview, Olmsted County

Daughter of Donny and Holly Thompson. Catherine, commonly known as Katie, attends the University of Minnesota where she will be a sophomore this fall studying agricultural communication and marketing. She is active in Minnesota Junior Holstein Association and the Gopher Dairy Club. Catherine enjoys showing dairy cattle and spending time with friends.
