In late May, Midwest Dairy joined thousands of runners, walkers, and fairgoers at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair Milk Run during Kickoff to Summer at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The annual event once again brought together community, wellness, and dairy promotion in a fun and energetic atmosphere that celebrated the start of summer.

Throughout race morning, Midwest Dairy staff, Princess Kay, and brand ambassadors connected with participants and spectators through interactive activations designed to make dairy nutrition messaging approachable and engaging. Attendees tested their knowledge at the dairy trivia wheel, visited with ambassadors about the role dairy foods can play in fueling performance and recovery, and enjoyed a variety of high-energy experiences throughout the event.

From families participating in the 5K to competitive runners crossing the finish line, the event created meaningful opportunities to connect consumers with dairy in memorable ways. The “Legend DAIRY” swag, including shirts, cow bags, Croc charms, and dairy stickers, quickly became a crowd favorite and added to the excitement of the morning.

Midwest Dairy also created photo opportunities with a branded backdrop that encouraged participants to capture and share their race-day experiences, helping extend engagement beyond the event itself. Through on-site conversations, interactive experiences, and visible event branding, Midwest Dairy highlighted dairy’s connection to wellness, community, and active lifestyles while celebrating the long-standing tradition of the Milk Run.

The race also provided an opportunity to connect with attendees already visiting the State Fairgrounds for the Kickoff to Summer festivities, helping Midwest Dairy reach an even broader audience throughout the holiday weekend. With runners, families, and fair visitors moving through the event space, the activation created additional opportunities to share positive dairy messaging in a welcoming, community-focused setting. Through events like the Minnesota State Fair Milk Run, Midwest Dairy continues creating experiences that connect consumers with dairy farmers and the nutritious products they produce. The event highlighted the strong connection between dairy, physical activity, and the summer traditions that bring communities together across the Midwest.
