Illinois State Fair
More than 630,000 fairgoers will have the opportunity to experience dairy in new, fun ways during the Illinois State Fair! In the Dairy Building, interactive exhibits show attendees how dairy farmers care for their cows, communities, and the planet. As they wind their way through the building, they’ll discover this year’s Butter Cow, an unofficial icon of the fair since the 1920s. Finally, before leaving to find their next fair adventures, attendees will visit the Dairy Goodness Bar to enjoy the newest Flavor of the Fair, award-winning cream puffs, and more.
While in the Dairy Building, fairgoers can enjoy an assortment of delectable dairy treats, including ice cream cones, shakes, cold milk, and award-winning cream puffs. Guests can also enjoy classic shake flavors, such as vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. New this year, we are excited to be sourcing strawberries locally from Flamm Orchards located in Cobden, Illinois, bringing a fresh, homegrown flavor to every bite.
Over 19,000 ice cream cones and 2,000 shakes were sold at the 2024 Illinois State Fair!
Flavor of the Fair
This 2025 Flavor of the Fair is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, a delicious treat that combines the nostalgic taste of chocolate chip cookie dough with smooth, creamy vanilla ice cream.
