North Dakota State Fair

The North Dakota State Fair is a vibrant celebration of the state’s rich agricultural heritage, bringing together communities for a week of entertainment, exhibits, and delicious local flavors. Dairy plays a delightful role in the fair, with attractions like the Pride Dairy Outdoor Barn, where visitors can indulge in creamy milkshakes, ice cream, and even unique treats like ice cream nachos. Whether savoring a stroopwafel ice cream sandwich or exploring the agricultural showcases, the fair is a testament to North Dakota’s dedication to farming and food production.

In 1922, the Ward County Fair was held in Minot, ND. In 1936, the name was changed to North Dakota State Fair, and by 1965, the state government sanctioned the fair, and the first official North Dakota State Fair was held. In 2023, attendance records were broken when over 356,000 fairgoers attended the 9-day event.

The North Dakota State Fair runs July 18-26, 2025. For more information about the fair, please click here.
