About the Company

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is the largest U.S. cheese cooperative, owned by roughly 685 Midwest dairy farm families, and based in New Ulm, Minn. Founded in 1969, AMPI operates 10 manufacturing plants producing high-quality American-type cheese, butter, and whey products.

Services

AMPI produces 700-pound blocks and 500-pound barrels of natural cheese for further processing. The co-op also processes and packages natural and pasteurized process American cheese for foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. Powdered products include nonfat dry milk, whey and whey protein concentrate.
