Cub Foods holiday dairy bundling drives results

The holidays are a time for baking, cooking, and gathering around the table, and dairy is at the heart of those traditions. To help make holiday meals and celebrations a little more affordable, Midwest Dairy partnered with Cub Foods on a special holiday dairy bundling coupon promotion.

The promotion encouraged shoppers to bundle multiple dairy favorites – like milk, butter, cottage cheese, yogurt, and cream – into one value-filled trip. Cub Foods funded the coupon savings directly at the shelf, while Midwest Dairy supported the effort with targeted advertising designed to help more shoppers discover the offer.

More than 1.3 million impressions and email opens helped spread the word, reaching over 973,000 shoppers and generating over 21,800 clicks across channels. The campaign drove 385 attributed transactions, producing $37,150 in online sales and generating more than 333,000 incremental pounds of milk.

Social media ads on Facebook and Instagram delivered a 1.53% click-through rate – more than 21 times the benchmark, while weekly ad and eCommerce email placements generated more than 20,700 clicks combined. Off-site media proved to be a key driver of sales, delivering the highest attributed revenue at $36,120 across 373 transactions.

Together, Cub Foods’ commitment to in-store savings and Midwest Dairy’s strategic advertising support created a promotion that helped families save during the holidays while driving meaningful growth for dairy.
