More than 100 farmers, ranchers, educators, and professionals gathered in Kearney, Nebraska, to attend the Making the Connection Conference to gain tools and knowledge to help students and consumers understand how agriculture impacts their everyday lives. Midwest Dairy was also present and provided support to the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation Agriculture in the Classroom program.

The one-day conference kicked off with Dr. David Mouser as the keynote speaker, followed by four rounds of breakout sessions throughout the day. Dairy was highlighted during the Taste of Nebraska luncheon and commodity panel. Lunch allowed Nebraska agricultural commodities and businesses to serve as table hosts representing their commodities. Serving as a table host, Midwest Dairy was able to highlight dairy and share dairy promotion items with table guests. Following the meal, commodity leaders participated in a packed audience panel discussion, sharing common consumer misconceptions and how to address them.
