Midwest Dairy participated in the 55th Nebraska Agriculture Youth Institute (NAYI), connecting with 252 Nebraska high school juniors and seniors selected to attend the week-long leadership conference at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s East Campus.

During the event, Tracy J. Behnken, Midwest Dairy Farmer Relations Manager, led the dairy commodity board session, educating students about the dairy checkoff and how it supports dairy farmers through promotion, education, and research. An interactive dairy trivia spin wheel and promotional prizes encouraged participation while reinforcing key dairy messages.

Hosted by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council, NAYI provides students with opportunities to learn about Nebraska agriculture, connect with industry leaders, and explore careers in agriculture. Midwest Dairy’s participation helped build awareness of the dairy industry and the role of the checkoff among the next generation of agricultural leaders.
