Minnesota State Fair
The Minnesota State Fair is an end-of-summer tradition, offering fairgoers unique opportunities to meet with local dairy farmers and learn more about how dairy farmers are dedicated to providing excellent care for their cows, communities, and planet. Attendees flock to the Dairy Goodness Bar to enjoy delicious treats, including the newest Flavor of the Fair. While they wait, fairgoers watch as Princess Kay and nine candidates sit in a refrigerated, rotating cooler while having their likeness carved into butter.
Outside the Dairy Building, fairgoers enjoy thrilling rides, educational exhibits, and the newest food on a stick. They also line up at (and return to) the All You Can Drink Milk Stand to enjoy fresh, ice-cold milk – perfect for a hot summer day!
In 1854, a local fair highlighted agriculture morphed into the Minnesota State Fair in 1859, a year after Minnesota was granted statehood. Referred to as the “Great Minnesota Get-Together,” this annual event is attended by over 1.5 million fairgoers from around the world. This year, the fair runs from August 21 – September 1, 2025. More information about the fair can be learned here.
