Minnesota State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair is an end-of-summer tradition, offering fairgoers unique opportunities to meet with local dairy farmers and learn more about how dairy farmers are dedicated to providing excellent care for their cows, communities, and planet. Attendees flock to the Dairy Goodness Bar to enjoy delicious treats, including the newest Flavor of the Fair. While they wait, fairgoers watch as Princess Kay and nine candidates sit in a refrigerated, rotating cooler while having their likeness carved into butter.

Outside the Dairy Building, fairgoers enjoy thrilling rides, educational exhibits, and the newest food on a stick. They also line up at (and return to) the All You Can Drink Milk Stand to enjoy fresh, ice-cold milk – perfect for a hot summer day!

Minnesota’s Princess Kay of the Milky Way serves as a goodwill ambassador to consumers on behalf of Minnesota’s dairy farmers. Princess Kay spends her year-long reign traveling the state, meeting with consumers, and sharing more about dairy sustainability, its nutritional benefits, and dairy farmers’ efforts in producing a quality product with care for their cows, communities, and planet.
