Rental Rates
Rates are based on how many days a wagon is requested. Please see the Rates for Rental enclosed to calculate. A four-day minimum will be charged for all Malt Wagon Rentals.
Cleaning & Security Deposit Fees
A $250 cleaning and security deposit will be charged to any event that does not meet the minimum cleaning requirements as outlined by the Malt Wagon Manual. As in the past, cleaning supplies are always provided with rental: broom, dustpan, mop, bucket, bleach, malt machine sanitizer/cleaner, hand soap, dish soap, and brushes.
Submitting a Request Does Not Guarantee a Wagon or Machine at Your Event
We have 5 malt wagons and 1 portable unit. If there are more requests than wagons for any dates, we prioritize events using the following criteria in the order listed below:
- ADA events; then ADA-shared events; finally, non-ADA events.
- Forms returned by March 1. Any late returned forms will be given last choice of dates.
- Cleanliness rating from the previous year.
- Random drawing to eliminate as necessary.
Notifications Will be Sent to the Event Contact
Sending in a request does NOT mean we can accommodate your event(s). Event confirmations and packets will be sent by April 1 to the event contact. Please include an email address, if applicable.
Food Safety/Equipment Orientation at Malt Wagon Delivery
It is a requirement for the contact person or a representative from your event to meet with our driver at delivery. The driver may use discretion with experienced renters.
Malt Wagon Rental Rates
The rental structure is based on the number of days of rental, with a four-day rental minimum. Charges will be based on the number of days your event takes place, plus a $100 drop-off and pick-up fee. To help us best accommodate your needs, please provide us the date and time your event will begin and end. We will make every effort to have your malt wagon in place prior to the start of your event. Due to the high demand of our wagons in the height of our season, this may not be feasible, and we will contact you to discuss options.
For example, the below event will pay for a 4-day rental, plus a $100 drop-off and pick- up fee.
- Date Event Begins: June 13, 9 a.m.
- Trailer will be dropped off at the event by June 12 at 3 p.m.
- Date Event Ends: June 16, 8 p.m.
- Trailer will be picked up at the event by June 17 at 1 p.m.
The $100 drop-off and pick-up fee is a set rate. Any adjustments to trailer drop-off and pick-up dates by Malt Wagon drivers will not be charged to renter.

Cleaning Fees: A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to any event that does not meet the minimum cleaning requirements as outlined by the Malt Wagon Manual. An updated copy of the Malt Wagon Manual will be available in all trailers for review.
