Midwest Dairy was proud to participate as a roundtable expert at the 2025 Iowa Youth Institute (IYI), hosted by the World Food Prize Foundation at Iowa State University. The event brought together over 350 high school students and educators alongside 80 experts in agriculture and food systems for a day of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

The Iowa Youth Institute empowers students to explore real-world solutions to pressing global challenges related to food security, sustainability, and nutrition, inspiring the next generation of changemakers. Each student presented a research paper addressing a global issue, such as climate change, food waste, malnutrition, and sustainable agriculture.

As a roundtable expert, Midwest Dairy engaged with students in small-group discussions, offering feedback, sharing insights, and highlighting dairy’s role in building a resilient and sustainable food system. Through these conversations, Midwest Dairy helped students better understand how agricultural innovation, including dairy farming, contributes to addressing global challenges.

This engagement reflects Midwest Dairy’s ongoing commitment to education, youth leadership development, and building a deeper understanding of agriculture’s role in feeding a growing world.
