Midwest Dairy helps celebrate Central Nebraska’s sweetest favorites

This summer, Midwest Dairy sponsored the Taste of Treats Contest, bringing together ice cream lovers across Central Nebraska to celebrate their favorite local shops. Community members were invited to nominate their go-to, locally owned ice cream and sweet shops, resulting in more than 350 nominations and 100 shops in the running. From there, 16 fan favorites advanced to a bracket competition, and within two weeks, a winner was crowned.

This fun and flavorful contest generated more than 500 live mentions of Undeniably Dairy as the sponsor, paired with key dairy messages and a call to “learn more at usdairy.com.” On-air live promotions included the message: “Real dairy. Real local. Real delicious! Dairy farmers keep the ice cream coming from cow to cone. Learn more at usdairy.com.”

The promotion reached audiences through five radio stations, CentralNebraskaToday.com, email blasts, and thank-you messages to voters, all of which featured the Undeniably Dairy logo. In total, the sponsorship generated over 13,000 impressions across these platforms.

The partnership’s goal was to share the “Cow to Cone” journey, illustrating how dairy products travel from the farm to become the ice cream we all know and love. From start to finish, the Taste of Treats Contest connected the community’s passion for local treats with the people and process behind every delicious scoop.
