Midwest Dairy Council Scholarship

One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to a junior, non-graduating senior, or graduate student at time of application and will attend North Dakota State University during the 2022-2023 school year. The recipient must be enrolled at North Dakota State University through the College of Human Development and Education with a focus on Dietetics, Elementary Education, Health Education, Physical Education, Family and Consumer Science or Agricultural Education. Selection is based upon academic accomplishment, leadership potential, and commitment to promoting health and wellness. Applicants seeking a degree via the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (GPIDEA) program must reside in the Midwest Dairy region which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois.

Midwest Dairy Scholarship-Kenton Holle Recognition

The Midwest Dairy Scholarship is funded by a $2,500 contribution from the National Dairy Board in Recognition of North Dakota Dairy Farmer Kenton Holle in receiving the 2021 Richard E. Lyng award. Mr. Holle requests that this gift be awarded to a junior or non-graduating senior (at the time of applying) pursuing a major in Dietetics or Agricultural Education from North Dakota State University. A dairy farming or agriculture background is preferred.
