Midwest Dairy partnered with Cub Foods, a grocery chain based in Stillwater, Minnesota, with 106 retail locations in Minnesota and Illinois, on a unique promotion designed to keep dairy products in front of their shoppers in-store and online.
One of their goals was to drive trust in dairy through a campaign utilizing a local farmers’ voice. Cub understands the value of their local farmers’ voice and was eager to collaborate with Midwest Dairy on this new campaign called ” Farmer of Cub “.
Since August and through the remainder of the year, Kennedy Youngren, a dietitian, mom, and fourth-generation dairy farmer from central Minnesota, is featured as the “Farmer of Cub.” As part of this promotion, Youngren offers fresh recipes, nutrition tips, and a behind-the-scenes view of a working dairy farm shared through in-store marketing, email marketing, and social media posts, reaching half a million consumers. Cub continues to showcase dairy above and beyond this promotion. From featuring dairy products in consumer emails to engaging TV ads during football games, Cub has proven to be a valuable retail partner for Midwest Dairy. Uplifting dairy farmer voices through retail promotions showcases how dairy is produced responsibly and locally to consumers where they are and how partners such as Cub Foods support local farmers.
