In the first quarter of 2025, Midwest Dairy partnered with Dierbergs Markets on three in-store promotions, each focused on different dairy products and seasonal themes. Keep reading to see a summary of the activations and results.
January – Power Up with Protein
To tap into rising interest in protein, Dierbergs promoted cottage cheese and yogurt with support from vendor partners. Stores were encouraged to place displays near produce to remind shoppers to pair these items with fresh berries. The campaign included a digital weekly ad banner featuring the message “Power Up with Protein” and a Greek Yogurt Dip recipe. It was also promoted on Facebook and Instagram.
February – Game Day Favorites
Dierbergs featured game-time snacks and dairy-based dips to align with the big football game. They spotlighted a Chorizo Queso Dip and pre-made dairy dips in ads and social media. A new shredded cheese brand was also introduced, accompanied by in-store displays and a 5x bonus points promotion to boost sales.
March – Frozen Foods Month
Dierbergs promoted ice cream for Frozen Foods Month with a fun Banana Split Milkshake recipe. Prairie Farms 48 oz. Ice cream was featured with a 2x bonus points offer. The promotion appeared in the weekly ad, digital app, and social media, including an Instagram Reel and recipe post.
These three campaigns together drove 173,000 incremental pounds of milk. The campaign reached over 6,500 shoppers through social media ads alone. Although Dierbergs does not share digital or print ad performance data, Midwest Dairy will continue its partnership with the retailer for two more activations in June and October.
