Midwest Dairy has worked diligently in developing a mutually beneficial relationship with Cub Foods, a grocery chain based in Stillwater, Minnesota, and home to 106 retail outlets to drive trust and sales of dairy. Checkoff continually strives to work with partners to develop unique ways to keep dairy products and promotions in front of shoppers.

Midwest Dairy has focused on bringing dairy to life for consumers at Cub Foods through eye-catching messaging while encouraging the partner to engage their dairy vendor community for promotional support to drive dairy sales. Throughout different campaigns, Cub Foods has come to understand the value of the farmer’s voice in driving trust, and we are eager to collaborate on a new idea called “The Farmer of Cub.”

For the remainder of the year and into 2024, Kennedy Youngren, a dietitian, mom, and fourth-generation dairy farmer from central Minnesota, will be featured as the “Farmer of Cub.” Her presence will interact with shoppers by offering fresh recipes, nutrition tips, and behind-the-scenes views of life on a working dairy farm.

Click here to see the recent email message that went out to over 550,000 Cub Foods email subscribers on Friday, August 25. This message included the first introduction of Youngren to their customers, her farm story, and the value she will bring to their shopping experience. Also included were recipes highlighting key dairy ingredients and their nutritional benefits. This email is just a sample of what is to come!

Midwest Dairy is excited about this collaboration and its potential to bring the dairy farmer story to consumers in a unique way to drive trust and sales of dairy in Minnesota.
