Make & Taste Dairy: Whipped Cream Grades 6-8



During this make-and-take activity, students in grades 6-8 will enjoy learning about the history, science, and nutrition of whipped cream. Participants will make whipped cream and discover ways to incorporate whipped cream into recipes featuring nutrient-rich ingredients.

This lesson will encourage students to become familiar with the nutritional composition of whipped cream and ways that a small portion of whipped cream can enhance the taste and acceptance of healthy foods. Also included are class discussion topics to help students continue the conversation about whipped cream!
