Midwest Dairy’s February 2026 Promotion in Action update highlights new opportunities, partnerships, and resources designed to support dairy farmers and strengthen consumer trust. CEO Corey Scott opens the issue by encouraging farmers to engage their communities as spring approaches. She notes that the Promo Center offers free promotional items—including children’s coloring bags, temporary tattoos, slap bracelets, and Pop-It keychains—available to all farmers who fund Midwest Dairy. As the newsletter states, these items are “made available free of charge to dairy farmers who provide funding to Midwest Dairy,” with a recommended two‑week shipping window.
Farmers are also reminded of free printable materials from Midwest Dairy and DMI, as well as Undeniably Dairy Grants of up to $5,000 per year, with the next application deadline on May 1, 2026. Leadership grants of up to $1,000 annually are also available for farmers looking to expand their advocacy and communication skills.
The update showcases several successful partnerships that boosted dairy sales in 2025. A standout example is the Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers collaboration, which generated more than one million pounds of incremental milk. Midwest Dairy also met with processors across the region to explore innovation opportunities and expand dairy’s presence in new product categories.
Additional highlights include strong holiday‑season sales campaigns, impactful consumer‑focused partnerships in Illinois, and a webinar exploring the top food and beverage trends for 2026. Research funded by the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Center was also prominently featured at the 2026 Global Ingredients Summit.
The newsletter introduces Dairy Does More, a new national consumer communications platform developed with Dairy Management Inc. Finally, farmers are encouraged to explore Lasso grant‑writing support and apply for Midwest Dairy scholarships before the March 1 deadline.
